Alert: You can only mount an ext2,3,4 fs read-only. It
means that you’ll get an error if you don’t specify
as an argument to mount(8).
First, ﬁnd your device using
geom disk list.
root@freebsd:~ # kldload ext2fs root@freebsd:~ # mount -o ro -t ext2fs /dev/da0s1 /mnt root@freebsd:~ #
Hope it helped someone as I easily spent an hour ﬁguring it out because my fs is actually ext4. You must enter ext2fs no matter if you are using ext3,4!
