Mounting an EXT2,3,4 fs on FreeBSD 11.2

Alert: You can only mount an ext2,3,4 fs read-only. It means that you’ll get an er­ror if you don’t spec­ify -o ro as an ar­gu­ment to mount(8).

First, find your de­vice us­ing geom disk list.

Then,

root@freebsd:~ # kldload ext2fs
root@freebsd:~ # mount -o ro -t ext2fs /dev/da0s1 /mnt
root@freebsd:~ #

Hope it helped some­one as I eas­ily spent an hour fig­ur­ing it out be­cause my fs is ac­tu­ally ext4. You must en­ter ext2fs no mat­ter if you are us­ing ext3,4!
